I really don't like drinking booze these days.

Timing is everything.

Whether it be dating, catching a bus, or making the commitment to begin a healthy lifestyle...timing IS everything. Even though I'd made repeated attempts to get on the diet and exercise bandwagon, I wasn't ready to make the change. I'd get derailed somehow.  Something clicked last week. I'm finally in a space where I can do this for me, and ONLY me. It's not for someone else's affection.  It's for my health and well-being.

Boy, is that liberating.

Great article in Salon.com regarding Carrie Fisher's turn as spokesperson for Jenny Craig. Although the title Carrie Fisher's off-putting Jenny Craig story is a bit of a turn off, the article points out that it's more about peoples' views that pushed her to diet. Nothing like a little humiliation and ridicule to jump start a life change.
